It's a wish for someone/anyone/everyone.
My playing this song is like wishing that your story continues. The story which is everyones life everything from what happened to ya when ya broke your leg as a child to what happened on your wedding night.

Long may you sing, dance, breath, think, be merry, be sad, be alive.
LOng may you travel, feel love, help children and old people and everyone in between.
LOng may you eat good, feel good.
Long may you run.
